Excessive heat warning issued for Yuma and Imperial County

(KYMA, KECY) - The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for Yuma and Imperial county from Wednesday, April 29, through Thursday, April 30, as record-breaking temperatures are expected to hit the valley this week.

On Wednesday, the temperature is expected to reach near 104 degrees, which would make it the warmest day for the full week.

With the excessive heat warning, officials are issuing some of the annual safety reminders to stay hydrated, wear light-weight clothing and stay indoors with air conditioning.
