A Central African migrant seeks asylum into the United States, patiently waiting for his number to be called by Customs and Border Protection officials at the San Luis, Arizona port of entry.

23-year-old Fonguh Augusgine fled prosecution from the government in Cameroon in Central Africa, he said he was arrested and brutally tortured for two weeks.

” In the cell room where they would keep us, we would get up force to stretch our legs and beat us with the sticks, ” said Augusgine .
