A school bus crash in Georgia sends multiple people to the hospital

ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. (NBC, KYMA) - A school bus carrying 27 people crashed outside of Atlanta Friday night.

The bus from Salem High School was returning from a football game, with players and school staff on board.

When the driver lost control, struck another car and overturned, according to Georgia State Patrol.

The Rockdale County School District said 22 students and 3 staff members were taken to hospitals for treatment.

The bus driver and the driver of the other vehicle were also transported.
