Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton campaigns in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CNN, KYMA) - California gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton (R) made a campaign stop in West Sacramento Wednesday as the state's race for governor enters its final weeks.

Hilton is delivering what his campaign is calling "the case against Xavier Becerra (D)" after the two candidates faced off in their only scheduled debate last week.

Hilton said the focus should be on the cost of living, immigration, the homeless crisis and taxes.

He also criticized Becerra, who is the former Health and Human Services Secretary, for not holding as many events to meet voters.
