School bus flips in crash involving an Indiana State Police vehicle

INDIANAPOLIS (NBC, KYMA) - A Warren Township school bus flipped in a crash involving an Indiana State Police (ISP) vehicle along Interstate 465 (I-465) in Indianapolis Tuesday morning.

Video from an Indianapolis State Trooper and INDOT cameras showed a school bus on its side near the center median blocking several lanes of traffic.

The crash was reported around 10:00 a.m. Eastern along northbound I-465 near Washington Street.

A message from MSD of Warren Township to parents and staff obtained by 13News said the crash involved a Creston Intermediate Middle School bus with 25 fifth-grade students and three adults on board.

ISP Sgt. John Perrine said, in a social media post, no critical injuries were reported in the crash, which involved an ISP vehicle.

Sgt. Perrine asked parents and family members of students not to come to the crash scene, as all students have been taken away from the scene.
