Yuma man arrested for alleged drug and firearm possession

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) said they arrested a man for alleged drug and firearm possession.

YCSO said the arrest happened Friday before 7 a.m. in the area of E. Brenda Drive and S. Far W Avenue, near S. Frontage Road.

The Yuma County Narcotics Task Force, along with YCSO's investigators and deputies, served a search warrant at a home in the area, YCSO said.

During the search, YCSO said they found "approximately 20 grams of Methamphetamine, half a gram of cocaine, and multiple items of paraphernalia indicative of street sales."

YCSO also said they found multiple firearms, which includes 12 rifles, three shotguns and eight handguns.

As a result of the search, YCSO said a 50-year-old Yuma man was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center on the following charges:

• Misconduct involving weapons by a prohibited possessor
• Misconduct involving weapons in a drug offense
• Possession of dangerous drugs for sale
• Possession of dangerous drugs
• Possession of narcotic drugs
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
