YPD shares more details regarding missing teen

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) is still on the search for Alexandra Becerra.

Becerra, 16, was first reported missing on Thursday, August 22. The family are looking for answers as she has not been in contact.

She was last seen with an unknown subject in a black four sedan wearing a black and gray striped shirt and blue jeans.

YPD told News 11 they believe it's not the first time Becerra was reported as missing.

"She lives within the city limits. Family reported her as a runaway. From what I believe, it's not her first time there's been other times she's ran away, but you know like I said they typically turn out within 24 to 48 hours. That just isn't the case this time around," Officer Hayato Johnson said.
