Vegetation fire burning in Mariposa County prompted evacuation orders

MARIPOSA COUNTY, Calif. (NBC, KYMA) - A vegetation fire burning in California's Mariposa County prompted evacuation orders Tuesday.

The Colorado Fire is burning at Highway 140 and Colorado Road, which is west of Yosemite National Park.

According to Cal Fire, the blaze has burned 250 acres and is 10% contained. They also said 45 structures are under threat from the fire.

Part of Highway 140 remains closed as the fire fight continues.
