Greenville, North Carolina will no longer install Flock cameras

GREENVILLE, N.C. (NBC, KYMA) - The backlash against Flock cameras erupts in Greenville, North Carolina.

The police department recently announced it wanted to install ten Flock cameras in town.

But residents spoke out against the plan, expressing concerns about surveillance and privacy.

On Friday, Police and city officials announced they were canceling the plan

Police say Flock cameras currently seen in Greenville are privately owned or belong to another law enforcement agency.
