Nvidia doubles earnings as AI boom continues

(CNN, KYMA) - Nvidia is signaling even more growth ahead as the artificial intelligence (AI) boom continues.

The chipmaker reported $96.2 billion in quarterly revenue Wednesday. That's more than double from a year ago.

Data center revenue jumped 117% to $89 billion, but investors were especially encouraged by Nvidia's outlook.

The company says it expects fiscal 2028 income to grow 70%, well above analyst expectations.

Nvidia shares rose more than 4% after hours.

The company also announced a deal expanding the use of its chips across Amazon data centers.
