New survey asks 2,000 Americans what counts as cheating in 2026

(CBS, KYMA) - A new survey that, in this age of cellphones and dating apps, asked 2,000 Americans what counts as cheating in 2026.

People called these the top five acts of cheating, with number five being deleting messages so your partner won't see them.

Four is keeping someone in your phone under a fake name.

Three is maintaining a dating app, even if its just "to look" or for validation.

Number two is talking with someone late into the night without your partner knowing, and the top act of cheating in 2026 is keeping an ongoing flirtatious text conversation with someone.
