Kenny Dale reaches 300 wins as AWC men’s soccer holds off Snow College

EPHRAIM, Utah (KYMA) - Arizona Western College (AWC) men's soccer coach Kenny Dale reached a historic milestone Saturday, earning his 300th win with the Matadors in a 3-2 road victory over Snow College.

The win gave AWC its first victory of the 2026 season in its second match and made Dale one of the winningest active coaches in NJCAA men’s soccer.

Laity Roussel scored twice in the first half, both on penalty kicks, before Tyrese Agbontaen added a third goal early in the second half.

A lightning delay of more than an hour gave Snow College an opportunity to fight back. The Badgers scored twice after play resumed, but goalkeeper William Owen made five second-half saves to help the Matadors hold on.

Dale has now compiled a 300-102-30 record during his 22 seasons leading Arizona Western. His tenure includes five NJCAA National Tournament appearances, back-to-back national runner-up finishes in 2022 and 2023 and multiple conference and Region I championships.

Despite reaching the milestone, Dale said his focus remains on the team's next game.

"I told the players this is win number one," Dale said. "That's what's important."

Arizona Western returns home Tuesday to host Scottsdale Community College at Matador Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
