Reality star arrested in connection with a real estate fraud

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (NBC, KYMA) - Reality TV personality Salome Jackson, better known as Betty Idol on Love & Hip-Hop and Cartel Crew, is facing fraud charges in Volusia County.

Investigators say an 11 month investigation found victims wired nearly $200,000 to buy vacant land in Orange City.

Detectives say suspects posed as the property's actual owners and sent the money to a fraudulent business account.

Investigators say bank records connected most of the stolen money to Jackson.

She faces several charges, including money laundering.

In court today, a judge set Jackson's bond at $300,000.
