Search crews have found the body of missing Indiana boy

NEAR MUNCIE, Ind. (NBC, KYMA) - The search for a missing Indiana teen is over.

Authorities say they have recovered the body of 18-year-old Matthew Morey, who jumped in a river with three other people near Muncie on Wednesday.

It's unclear why they jumped in the swollen river, but Sheriff's deputies responding to the scene helped remove three people safely from the fast-moving river but did not find Morey.

Severe storms and rising water hampered the search, but Saturday search crews found his body.

Morey recently graduated from high school in Muncie and was preparing to attend Purdue University.
