Teen in San Luis, Mexico fights cancer with hope

SAN LUIS, Mexico (KYMA) - A 14-year-old teen in San Luis, Mexico has been fighting cancer for the past two years.

Víctor Manuel Apodaca Trejo loves going to school and wants to return to the life he enjoyed before his illness.

After undergoing several medical evaluations, he was diagnosed with a tumor on his back, with metastasis to his lungs.

His mother, Yolanda Trejo, is now asking for the community's support to help her son continue his treatment.

"My life changed completely, going from a normal life with a normal child to receiving the news that my son had cancer and that his prognosis wasn't good," she shared. "It changed my pace, my way of thinking, everything."

Trejo needs essential supplies on a daily basis, including wet wipes, large-size diapers and colostomy bags.
