Dutch Bros. Coffee to buy Salad and Go

(CNN, KYMA) - The company tied to the founders of Dutch Bros. Coffee said it's in the process of buying the assets of Salad and Go.

Bankruptcy filings showed Boersma Brothers LLC intends to take-over dozens of the Arizona-based chain's drive-thrus in multiple states.

Dutch Brothers would convert those to sell food, coffee and other drinks.

Court documents showed Salad and Go had several offers, but chose the one from Dutch Bros.

The shuttered company said operating losses and lease issues strained it financially.

It says rising gas prices, customers pulling back on spending and the cyclospora outbreak tipped it into bankruptcy.
