Man convicted of murdering four Idaho students files for petition

(NBC, KYMA) - The man convicted of killing four University of Idaho students in 2022 filed a petition to challenge his conviction.

Bryan Kohberger is currently serving four life sentences, but he filed a "petition for post conviction relief" in the Ada County District Court in Idaho Monday, but it was not immediately clear on what grounds he was seeking the petition.

In an interview with The New York Times, Kohberger claimed he was innocent and was misled into confession to the murders.

Last year, Kohberger plead guilty to murdering four students at their off-campus home.
