Sen. Mitch McConnell saying he’s not ready to return to work yet

(NBC, KYMA) - Sen. Mitch McConnell's (R-Ky.) office released another health update Monday, saying Sen. McConnell is still not ready to return to in-person work in The Capitol.

In a statement, McConnell says he is still going through intense physical therapy recommended by his doctors, saying he is "Working hard to get back to his full schedule of work in the Senate and in Kentucky."

The statement did not offer a timeline for his return.

McConnell also expressed his disappointment in not being able to attend the annual Fancy Farm event in Kentucky this upcoming weekend.

Earlier this month, the senator released another photo of him and his wife, saying he was in a rehabilitation center after falling at home in June.
