Local church in Yuma to host community dinner

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - First United Methodist Church will be holding a community meal dinner this Sunday.

This is held on the last Sunday of each month at the following times:

  • October through March: 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • April through September: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

It's a free dinner where anyone is welcome with lots to eat and drink to beat the summer heat.

You don't need to sign-up or pre-register, and the message is simple: Come and eat.

"We want to provide a healthy meal in a safe place because that's something a lot of folks enjoy," said John Dumermuth, Chairman of First United Methodist Church. "We like to do a good job of it."

The church is located at 298 W. Third Street.
