Warren Petersen projected as winner of the GOP primary for Arizona attorney general

YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA, NBC) - NBC News has projected State Sen. Warren Petersen (R-District 14) as the winner of the GOP primary for Arizona secretary of state.

State Sen. Petersen defeated Rodney Glassman in the Arizona primary Tuesday.

Petersen, who is currently serving District 14 in the Arizona State Senate since 2022, will face off against current Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, who is running for reelection.

If elected as the state's attorney general, his priorities include public safety, defending Arizona laws and restoring confidence in elections.
