Arizona Western hosting youth softball clinic

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Arizona Western College is giving young softball players an opportunity to develop their skills this summer with a youth camp scheduled for July 26.

The camp is open to girls ages 8 to 12 and will be held at Arizona Western’s Charlie Dine Field from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Arizona Western assistant coaches will lead instruction throughout the event, with several Matador players also expected to be in attendance to assist participants.

The camp will focus on skill development while allowing young athletes to learn from coaches and players at the collegiate level. Registration for the camp costs $25.

The event is designed to provide local youth softball players with additional instruction and an opportunity to improve their fundamentals in a college softball environment.
