Netflix says about 300 films have utilized AI

(CBS, KYMA) - Netflix is revealing how fast artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming part of what viewers watch.

The streaming giant says, so far this year, about 300 titles on its platform have used AI during the production process.

This includes "The American Experiment" docuseries, "Brazil '70: The Third Star," a Brazilian soccer series, and "Glory," an Indian boxing film.

Co-CEO Ted Sarandos defended this, claiming Netflix is not looking to replace humans, but instead wants to give "creatives better tools to bring their visions to life."

He also added the production process is "twice as fast and at half the cost of previous options."
