Tracking a great start for the month of July

Happy July 1st! It is a cooler than normal start to the month. I am tracking a warming trend for 4th of July weekend.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Now that we are in July we are just 3 days until the 4th of July!

It is a cooler than normal day as we kick off the month of July. Temperatures are trending cooler than normal for early July.

It will be another fantastic evening ahead as temperatures will cool down. Get outside and enjoy!

I am still tracking some strong winds again tonight for Imperial County. Winds will be coming from the west/southwest and gusts nearing 30 MPH.

An Air Quality Alert is issued for parts of Imperial County 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Thursday due to higher ozone levels causing harmful pollution.

Tracking lots of sunshine and below-average temperatures as we say hello to July! Temperatures will be warming up to seasonal levels by the 4th of July.

Hotter temperatures will return early next week.
