Mexicali man arrested for allegedly killing his son

MEXICALI, Mexico (KYMA) - A 65-year-old father allegedly killed his 36-year-old son with a shovel after an argument at their home in the Mexicali Valley.

The deadly attack happened Sunday night while the father and son were drinking alcohol.

Mexicali Police say the father allegedly grabbed a shovel and repeatedly struck his son, leaving him unconscious.

Police responded to the scene after receiving a 911 call and found the victim with multiple traumatic injuries.

Paramedics say the victim died at the scene, and police arrested the father who is still behind bars.
