Squall unleashes torrential rain in western Massachusetts

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (CBS, KYMA) - Storm squalls blew through New York and Massachusetts on Thursday.

Footage filmed by Cameron Baker (@cabarkerwx) show intense sheets of rain and wind beating down a road in North Adams, Massachusetts.

"A brief burst of severe winds, only minor damage consisting of branches down at our location," Baker wrote in a post on X.

The National Weather Service said New York and Massachusetts would continue to experience windy conditions, "although it won't be quite as windy as Thursday."
