New York residents participate in Jalen Brunson lookalike contest

NEW YORK (CBS, KYMA) - Dozens of Jalen Brunson lookalikes gathered in New York City Wednesday for a contest celebrating the New York Knicks star and 2026 NBA Finals MVP.

Video shared by Meredith Gorman shows contestants lining up in Washington Square Park.

News reports said the contest, organized by content creator Jake Epstein, offered a $5,000 prize to the winner ahead of New York's anticipated championship parade.

Another video shared online showed the contest winner, a young boy, receiving a congratulatory FaceTime call from Brunson himself.
