Woman released without paying any bail

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA) - In Imperial County, one of four people charged in connection with the murder of a Salton City man appeared in court Friday.

53-year-old Blanca Robles was released without having to pay any bail as she agreed to appear for future court dates.

Robles is charged with accessory after the fact in the death of 34-year-old Pedro Montes Jr.

Montes's body was discovered in a remote area of Salton City last month, prompting a homicide investigation.

Prosecutors allege Robles helped conceal or destroy evidence following the killing.

The three other suspects charged in the case are expected to make court appearances later this month.
