Three family members charges in connection to deadly house explosion in Illinois

TROY, Ill. (NBC, KYMA) - Three family members have now been charged in connection with a deadly explosion at their home in Troy, Illinois back on Easter Sunday.

The blast killed three people, including a 12-year-old girl.

Over the weekend, prosecutors charged 22-year-old Colton Cissell with involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment.

Authorities say he made the explosives involved in the blast, and if convicted, he faces 30 years in prison.

Neighbors say it looked like fireworks shooting from the home as it burned.

His parents were also charged with child endangerment as they're accused of allowing the making of explosive devices in their home.

Search warrants say the parents told investigators their son made bombs for his firework-making club.
