White House physician says President Trump is in ‘excellent health’

(NBC, KYMA) - President Donald Trump is in "excellent health" after his latest checkup last week, according to the White House physician.

The administration released a memo Friday, three days after President Trump's visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, his third in-person medical checkup in 13 months.

White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella wrote that the president "is fully fit to carry out all duties of the commander-in-chief."

Dr. Barbabella reported that Trump's weight is 238 pounds, 14 pounds higher than at his April 2025 visit, and he scored a 30 out of 30 on his neurological exam.

The memo also stated that the president is taking medication for cholesterol control and cardiac prevention.

Bruising seen on the president's hand from time to time is attributed to frequent handshaking combined with aspirin use.

Trump, who will turn 80 in June, is the oldest person to assume the presidency.
