Tusil Fire rages on in San Diego, prompting evacuation order

SAN DIEGO (KYMA) - An evacuation order has been issued due to a fire near the Golden Acorn Casino near Interstate 8.

Public safety officials issued the threat alert at around 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, alerting people in the area to immediately evacuate.

According to the San Diego County Fire Department, they say they are working on containing the 1,000-acre brush fire located on the Campo Reservation Area.

So far, it's 25% contained, according to Cal Fire's post on X Wednesday.

Drivers planning to drive west on I-8 should avoid the area or seek alternative routes.
