Man hurls keg through bakery window in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON (CBS, KYMA) - Police in Washington, D.C. said they were seeking the public's help in identifying a man seen in video footage throwing a beer keg through a store window Sunday night.

It happened at a Georgetown Cupcake store on M Street and caused around $10,000 in damage, police said.

Surveillance footage from inside the store shows the suspect hurling the keg through a window. Footage captured by a security camera on the street showed another view of the man.

In a statement on social media, the bakery's owners described how "upsetting" the attack was.

"People were inside and scared" at the time, they said. "That level of disregard for others is shocking. This isn't just property damage; it's reckless, dangerous, and completely unacceptable behavior that could have seriously hurt someone."
