Select flavors of Organic Ice Cream recalled due to potential presence of metal foreign material

(CBS, KYMA) - Strauss Family Creamery has issued a voluntary recall of select flavors of Organic Ice Cream due to the potential presence of metal foreign material.

According to the recall notice on their website, the lots were distributed to retailers in 17 states, which includes Arizona and California, and were on shelves earlier this month.

The notice says the FDA was informed of the voluntary recall, and says the company "is working with retailers to remove the potentially affected products from shelves."
