Yuma Catholic golf wraps state run with top-10 finish

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Yuma Catholic golf capped off its state championship appearance with a strong showing, finishing seventh overall in a competitive field after two days of play.

The Shamrocks ended the tournament at 60 over par as a team, holding their own against some of Arizona’s top programs.

Meyer Shill led the way with a standout individual performance. He opened the tournament two under par on day one and followed it with a four under par round on day two, finishing third overall individually.

Jonah Miller also delivered steady rounds, posting a 77 in the opening round before following up with an 81.

Alexander Arnn finished the two-day tournament at 16 over par, while Chase Toomey carded rounds of 81 and 80. Carter Patterson rounded out the lineup, improving by five strokes from day one to day two.

Despite tough competition, the Shamrocks finished inside the top 10 at state, closing out a strong season on the course.
