Grand Canyon National Park officials search for missing hiker

(NBC, KYMA) - Officials at Grand Canyon National Park are attempting to locate a 26-year-old man recently reported as missing seven days ago.

Sandarsh Krishna's last known location in the park was on the Rim Trail along Hermit Road, between Bright Angel Lodge and Mohave Point, between 4:00 p.m. on April 27 and 12:00 a.m. on April 28.

He was last seen wearing athletic clothing.

Krishna may have been utilizing a rideshare or taxi service as there's no known car associated with him.

Krishna was described as being five-feet, 10-inches tall with black hair and brown eyes.

A black backpack believed to be associated with Krishna was turned in to hotel personnel at Bright Angel Lodge on April 28 at approximately 7:00 a.m.

Investigators are seeking to identify and speak with the individual who turned the backpack in to lodge staff.

The person is not considered a suspect.
