Man arrested after disrupting security at Trump Doral National Golf Club

MIAMI (CBS, KYMA) - A man was arrested at Trump Doral National Golf Club in Miami Saturday after becoming disruptive and making physical contact with a Secret Service agent, according to officials cited by NewsNation.

The U.S. Secret Service said the man failed to comply with lawful orders at a security screening area staffed by federal agents and local police, according to a statement from Acting Special Agent in Charge Michael Townsend, shared with NewsNation.

The statement said the man made "physical contact" with an agent.

Footage from the scene shows the man being detained near a checkpoint.

Police said the man was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting without violence, and is being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami.

The New York Post reported the suspect allegedly set off magnetometers at the screening area before being restrained.

Officials said Donald Trump was not at the property at the time, and the incident did not affect security operations.
