CBP officers find nearly $3M worth of illegal drugs in two drug busts

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KYMA) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers seized nearly $3 million in fentanyl and meth in two separate seizures.

CBP officers at the San Ysidro Port of Entry seized more than 116 pounds of fentanyl and meth on April 19.

In one bust, officers found 94 packages of fentanyl powder and over 80 pounds of meth concealed in the roof.

In another bust, officers sent a vehicle that was driven by a 20-year-old Mexican citizen into inspection.

Officers uncovered six packages containing fentanyl concealed within the panels.

All the drivers were taken into custody.
