San Luis Tennis and Cibola Softball fall in playoff action

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Postseason play came to an end for a pair of Yuma County teams Thursday.

The Cibola softball team saw its season conclude with a 10-0 loss to Corona del Sol in a play-in matchup, closing out what had been a strong year for the Raiders.

In boys tennis, San Luis also wrapped up a historic season. The Sidewinders, who qualified for the state tournament as a team for the first time in program history, fell 6-0 to Rincon.

Despite the team loss, San Luis will continue competing at the state level, shifting its focus to individual singles and doubles play beginning Friday.
