Weather Authority/ KYMA

A passing lower-pressure system will move through the Desert Southwest, bringing some stronger winds today. Then our temperatures will quickly warm up for the weekend.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- It's been a warm day with highs in the 90s. For the evening, temperatures will be comfortable, but we do have breezier conditions for dinnertime.

Tracking some strong westerly winds that will bring gustier conditions to areas like Imperial County. Wind gusts will be between 20-30 MPH with higher gusts further west.

This lower-pressure will soon be on its way out, which will bring a warm-up for the weekend.

Looking ahead to the weekend, daytime highs will warm into the upper 90s and nearing the triple-digits. It will be a toasty start to the month of May.

We are in for more cooler temperatures and winds early next week.
