Texas mother rescued from car stranded in floodwaters

WHITE SETTLEMENT, Texas (CBS, KYMA) - Police rescued a mother from a car stranded in raging floodwaters in White Settlement, Texas late Saturday, footage published by the White Settlement Police Department (WSPD) shows, after her three children managed to escape the car.

The children were "secured in the backseat of a patrol car until help could arrive to rescue their mother," police said.

Footage captured shows the dramatic rescue effort. No one was injured, according to WSPD.

The National Weather Service issued several warnings for the city Saturday night, including a tornado warning, a severe thunderstorm warning, and a flash flood warning.
