Actor Dylan Sprouse confronts alleged trespassing suspect outside his home

LOS ANGELES (NBC, KYMA) - There was a frightening incident at the home of actor Dylan Sprouse early Friday morning.

The former Disney actor confronted and tackled an alleged trespasser outside of his Hollywood Hills home.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), it happened around 12:30 a.m. They say Sprouse jumped into action and held down the suspect until police officers arrived at the scene.

Authorities say Sprouse was armed, but did not draw his firearm during the confrontation.

LAPD confirms that Sprouse declined to prosecute the man for the incident. However, the suspect was ultimately detained and arrested on an outstanding warrant that was not related to the trespassing.

Law enforcement did not go into detail on that warrant, nor did they release the name of the man.

No injuries were reported.

Sprouse is best known for his role in "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," which he co-starred with his twin brother, Cole Sprouse.
