Woman receives suspended sentenced following rollover crash in the U.K.

TOWCESTER, U.K. (CBS, KYMA) - A woman has been given a suspended sentence after her "careless" driving led to two men being seriously injured in a rollover crash in Towcester, England in January of last year.

Northants Police released footage showing the moment Crenguta Aruxandei pulled out in front of a military Land Rover on the A43 dual carriageway on January 10, 2025.

The Land Rover swerved to avoid Aruxandei's car, causing it to roll over multiple times before coming to a halt.

The Land Rover's driver was thrown from the vehicle, police said, injuring his back. The passenger of the Land Rover sustained a significant head injury, according to police.

Aruxandei pled guilty to two counts of causing serious injury by careless driving, and was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for 18 months.

Aruxandei was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.
