Desert Southwest gets another cycle of high winds

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Winds are holding strong once again. The Desert Southwest will get gusts of at least 15mph throughout the day and could even reach above 30mph.

On the brighter side, the Imperial Valley is expected to have calm winds throughout the weekend. Yuma County is going to get hit with higher winds again on Saturday, but will ease off Sunday.

Also, with these higher winds going on, the air quality has taken a hit in Imperial County. They remain in an air quality alert through 5 p.m. Friday evening.

Temperatures are going to remain in the seasonable range of the low 80s at their peak. Heading into the weekend, temps are going to live in the high 80s, low 90s on Saturday and in the mid 90s Sunday.

Outside of that, the sun should be shining this weekend, with limited cloud coverage. It's a good weekend to get out and enjoy the weather.
