Monster funnel cloud hovers close to road in Iowa

ELDORA, Iowa (CBS, KYMA) - A huge funnel cloud was captured moving slowly across fields in central Iowa Tuesday as forecasters issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the region.

Footage captured by Drew Sterrett shows the swirling funnel cloud move close to a road and field near Eldora.

"Gustnado? Earlier SW of Eldora, IA," he wrote in a post on X.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Eldora and nearby areas, with quarter-sized hail and winds of 60 mph possible.
