Desert Heights sweeps doubleheader over San Pasqual

WINTERHAVEN, Calif. (KYMA) - It was a tough day at home for San Pasqual as the Warriors dropped both games of a doubleheader to Desert Heights Prep Monday.

In game one, Desert Heights wasted no time setting the tone. The Coyotes exploded for 16 runs over the first two innings, including a 13-run second inning, on their way to a 20-3 victory.

San Pasqual managed to get on the board in the third inning, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.

Game two followed a similar script. Desert Heights again jumped out early, scoring 13 runs in the opening inning and adding five more in the second.

The Warriors responded with a run in the first and four in the fourth, but ultimately fell 19-5.

Across the doubleheader, Desert Heights combined for 39 runs, using fast starts in both games to secure the sweep.

San Pasqual will look to regroup as they continue conference play, still searching for their first win of the season.
