Tractor-trailer crashes into building in New Jersey

CLIFTON, N.J. (CBS, KYMA) - On Monday, officials responded to the scene of a crash involving a tractor-trailer into a building in Clifton, New Jersey.

Neighbors heard the boom at around 2:30 a.m. Eastern, and when they went outside, they saw the cab of the truck crashed in the building.

The driver was freed from the building and hospitalized for his injures, and responders said he was alert and conscious.

Another person was also rescued from the second floor of the building. That person is also expected to be okay, fire officials said.

The cause is under investigation.
