Tracking cool, breezy, and cloudy start to the week with warmer days ahead

It's a cool, cloudy, and breezy start to the week. Tracking slightly warmer temperatures and clearer skies through the middle of the week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Happy Monday! It's a cool start to the week. Highs will be in the mid and upper 70s this afternoon.

Our next lower pressure system arrives today bringing in much cooler temperatures and stronger winds. More of that wet weather is favoring toward the west and along the coast.

It's also been pretty cloudy, not tracking any significant rainfall, just a few drops and sprinkles for the Desert Southwest. Clearer skies are expected through tonight.

Still tracking westerly winds again today. It will be breezy through tonight with gusts between 20-30 MPH.

Lighter winds will be expected finally on Tuesday.

A weak high pressure system will settle back in the region by the middle of the week, leading to dry and warmer conditions.

Tracking more sunshine for the next few days with a warming trend moving back in through the week.

Toward the end of the week, we will see some clouds and be a little breezy with highs warming back to the 90s by Sunday.
