High winds continue through Sunday

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Temperatures are dropping into a comfortable range this weekend, but winds are hindering the picture-perfect forecast.

For Saturday, the Desert Southwest experienced gusts of 20+ mph and it's looking to repeat Sunday. The Imperial Valley will experience consistent winds above 20mph and even reach over 25mph at various points.

Yuma County will lay off the same wind speeds for most of tonight and Sunday, but will get close on around noon.

Despite the higher gusts, our air quality is hanging in strong, with good conditions as of Saturday early evening. It's been the case for most of the day and there's a chance it carries into Sunday.

We are tracking some cloud coverage for Sunday, as well, but nothing that will completely hinder the sun from shining down.
