Crews in West Virginia rescue 15 ducklings from storm drain

HURRICANE, W.V. (CBS, KYMA) - A crew worked together to rescue more than a dozen baby ducks stuck in a storm drain in Hurricane, West Virginia Thursday.

Footage shows members of the Hurricane utility crew taking the ducklings out one by one outside a Starbucks on Teays Valley Road, and reuniting the brood with their mother.

"I was told they surely would have perished if our team hadn't gotten there to save them," Hurricane Mayor Scott Edwards is heard saying in the video voiceover.

"So proud of these guys that went there and got right down in that storm drain to help," Mayor Edwards added.
