YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - It's time to meet our Pet of the Week. This week, it's an adorable cat who is independent and low maintenance. 

Meet Briar Rose!

Briar Rose is a six-year-old spayed dilute tortoiseshell domestic shorthair who weighs six pounds and loves her space. 

She came to HSOY very fearful, but over time, she has come out of her shell. 

Briar Rose still prefers her alone time, but now she is showing affection by rubbing your hand and purring. 

She also LOVES her snacks! Once she gets used to you, she'll be on your lap in no time.

HSOY is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
