Firefighters in California cut fence to free trapped deer

FOREST LAKE, Calif. (CBS, KYMA) - Firefighters cut free a deer which had gotten stuck in a fence in Forest Lake, California.

The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) said the trapped deer had gotten "tightly wedged between its hips and ribs."

Footage captured shows firefighters using a saw to cut through the fence, before pulling the deer out and laying them on the ground.

"After resting on the ground for a few minutes, the deer got up and ran off into the surrounding area," the OCFA said.
